Lea Nakamura is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, Risk Management Group.  She joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2014 and was appointed Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Risk Officer in 2022.  She previously served as Senior Vice President and Division Manager, Treasury and Investment Division, and as First Hawaiian Bank Treasurer.  She has over 30 years of banking experience in treasury functions, managing derivatives, correspondent banking, economic capital, liquidity, and market and credit risk.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Hawaii Economic Association. She earned a Certificate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a B.S. in Foreign Service with a concentration in Economics and Asian Studies from Georgetown University.
